What You Can Share on Eidok

Express yourself freely. Share responsibly.

Eidok gives you many ways to share your life, your ideas and your work — with your friends, your communities or the whole world. This guide explains every format, who can see what you share, how to get the most out of each one and what is not allowed. Everything you share must follow our Community Protection Guidelines.

1. Posts

Posts are the heart of Eidok. From the “What is on your mind?” box you can share:

Text updates — thoughts, questions, news and stories. Short posts can use colourful backgrounds to stand out.
Feelings and activities — show how you feel or what you are doing.
Locations — add a place if you want to; it is always optional.
Polls — ask your friends or followers to vote on options.
Mentions — tag friends so they are notified.
Hashtags — add #topics so people can discover your post.
Links — share an article or website with an automatic preview.

2. Photos and Videos

Upload single photos or several at once to create an album.
Upload videos, which also appear in Watch, Eidok’s home for longer videos.
Photos and videos are automatically optimised so they load quickly on every connection. With Data Saver on, lighter versions are shown.

3. Reels

Reels are short vertical videos for entertainment, comedy, tutorials, food, travel, sport, fashion and more. They are shown in the Reels feed, where people who do not follow you yet can discover you — making reels one of the best ways to grow your audience. Friends can also watch reels together in Adda.

4. Stories

Stories are photos and short videos shown at the top of your friends’ feeds for 24 hours. Use them for everyday moments you do not need to keep on your profile.

5. Live Video

Go live to your friends, followers, Page or Group and talk with viewers in real time through comments. Great for events, Q&A sessions, product launches and celebrations.

6. Moments (Same Moment)

With Same Moment, you share a photo and a short note about what you are living right now — rain outside your window, a late-night study session, a cup of tea. Eidok finds someone somewhere in the world living a similar moment and opens a 10-minute chat, translated automatically in both directions. When it ends:

you get a beautiful side-by-side card of both moments, which you can save or share to your timeline;
you collect a stamp for your partner’s country in your Moment Passport;
you can leave each other a kind word, and choose to stay in touch.

Moments are shared only with the person you are matched with, and they see only your first name and country.

7. Adda Clips

While watching reels together in an Adda room, you can create a short clip of a favourite moment and share it to your timeline or send it to friends. Only record and share what others in the room are comfortable with.

8. Blogs

Write long-form articles with a title, cover image and category — guides, reviews, opinions, news and stories. Public blogs can be found by search engines, helping your writing reach readers far beyond Eidok.

9. Products, Offers and Jobs

Products — list items for sale with photos, price, condition and location. They appear in the Marketplace.
Offers — promote discounts and special deals from your Page.
Jobs — publish vacancies for your business.

Selling and posting jobs is for users aged 18 and over.

10. Events, Courses and Forums

Events — invite people to online or in-person events and see who is going.
Courses — share learning content with your audience.
Forums — start structured discussions on specific topics.

11. Comments, Reactions, Shares and Messages

Reactions — respond to posts with a range of emotions.
Comments — join the conversation; reply to others and add photos or emoji.
Shares — share public posts to your timeline, a group or a Page, adding your own words.
Messages — talk privately with friends.

Disagreement is welcome; abuse is not.

12. Sharing from Eye News BD and Other Websites

On Eye News BD, use the Eidok share or comment button to post a story or video to Eidok. Videos can be played directly inside your Eidok feed.
Paste any link into a post to share it with a preview card.
When sharing news, please share from reliable sources and do not present rumours as facts.

13. Choosing Your Audience

Posts in a Group follow that Group’s privacy setting; posts on a Page are public.
You can change a post’s audience after posting.
In your privacy settings you can control who sees your friends list, photos and profile details.

14. Editing, Deleting and Saving

Edit or delete your posts at any time from the post menu.
Pin an important post to the top of your profile or Page.
Save posts you want to find later in Saved.
Hide posts you do not want to see, or use Tell your feed to change what appears in your feed.

15. What You Should Not Share

Threats, violence, hate speech or harassment.
Nudity, sexual content, or anything that sexualises minors.
Scams, spam, fake giveaways or fake engagement.
Harmful misinformation, or manipulated media presented as real.
Other people’s private information, or intimate images without consent.
Content you do not have the rights to, such as copied films, music or other creators’ videos.
Illegal or prohibited goods and services.

16. Tips for Great Content

Be yourself. Authentic posts get the best response.
Use good light and clear sound in photos and videos.
Hook people fast. Grab attention in the first two seconds of a reel.
Write in your own language. Eidok supports English and Bangla, and translation helps people from other countries understand you.
Add context. A good caption helps people understand and engage.
Engage back. Reply to comments to build a community.
Credit others when you share their work.
Save data. Turn on Data Saver if your mobile data is limited.

17. Your Content, Your Rights

You own what you create. By posting it, you give Eidok permission to host and display it according to your settings, as described in our Terms of Service. You can delete your content at any time, and you can learn how we handle your information in our Privacy Policy.
