মাতারবাড়ীতে স্থানীয় সরকার প্রকৌশল অধিদপ্তর (LGED) বাস্তবায়িত দক্ষিণ চট্টগ্রাম আঞ্চলিক উন্নয়ন প্রকল্পের আওতায় চলমান রাস্তা নির্মাণে অনিয়মের অভিযোগ উঠেছে।

প্রশাসনের দেওয়া সীমারেখা অনুযায়ী যে ঘরটি ভাঙার কথা ছিল, তা এখনও অক্ষত রয়েছে। ফলে নতুন নির্মিত রাস্তা বাড়ির একেবারে গায়ে লেগে গেছে, যা যানবাহন চলাচলে বাধা সৃষ্টি করবে এবং দুর্ঘটনার আশঙ্কা বাড়াবে বলে মনে করছেন স্থানীয়রা।

ঘটনাস্থলের ছবিতে স্পষ্ট দেখা যায়, বাড়ির দেওয়ালে লাল রঙে প্রশাসনের চিহ্ন “১+১৪৫” লেখা রয়েছে। সেই অনুযায়ী রাস্তার লাইন নির্ধারণের কথা ছিল, কিন্তু ঠিকাদারি প্রতিষ্ঠান কাজটি করছে চিহ্নের বাইরে।
